A HUGE MIRACLE AND A HUGE WEEKEND!

Hi ONEchapel Family and Friends!

I’m so excited about this coming weekend. Our series on Philippians is really challenging us to live with contentment and to be satisfied with what God provides. There is nothing better than exploring the Scriptures and worshiping together. Speaking of worshiping together, don’t miss our huge NIGHT OF WORSHIP at Zilker Park on Sunday evening at 5:30pm. Bring some friends, lawn chairs and blankets, and don’t forget your non-perishable food items for local Austin food banks and pantries. We’ll worship, pray, baptize and celebrate what God is doing in our city together! In the meantime, here’s a run-down of all that’s going on around ONEchapel…

THE CHAIR MIRACLE

As most of you know, we have been talking about all of us pitching in to purchase chairs for our new location at 5508 Hwy 290 West near Monterey Oaks. Last week, I called our sending church, New Life Church in Colorado Springs, to see if they had any chairs that they could sell to us at a reduced cost. Amazingly, they have decided to give us 500 beautiful, high-quality chairs for our new auditorium! What an incredible blessing from Pastor Brady Boyd and the team at New Life!

The entrance to our new space

This means we will have more funds available to meet other needs associated with moving, such as audio-visual equipment, screens, signs, billboards, and more children’s resources for the new Kids for the One rooms. If you have already given designated money towards your chairs and you would like a refund, please contact Marty Urwin at marty.urwin@onechapel.com by Sunday, November 13th and he will be happy to send your money back to you. If you want to allow that money to be used for other needs associated with the move then there is no need to contact us. We’ll simply move those designated funds over by November 14th. Thank you for your generous giving. God is blessing us and providing for every need that ONEchapel has! Let’s rejoice in the miracle of God’s provision.

FAMILY SUNDAY OCTOBER 30th

Don’t miss this huge Sunday of fantastic events! Here’s what the day will include:

  • Baby Dedication: Interested in dedicating your baby next week during the services on Family Sunday? E-mail chelsie.griffith@onechapel.com.
  • Night of Worship at 5:30pm: In the evening, we will share in a time of extended worship & prayer right in the heart of our city at Zilker Park Hillside Theater near Barton Springs. Load up the whole family and bring your blankets and lawn chairs!
  • Water Baptism: During our evening worship service, we will celebrate new life in Christ with water baptism! If you’re interested, see details below.
  • Food drive: Bring a non-perishable food item to the Night of Worship to help stock up local food pantries for the holidays!

BAPTISM CLASS

On Sunday, October 30th at 3:30pm in the Family Room (3800 Ben Garza Ln 78749) we want to provide one more opportunity to learn about and participate in one of the best decisions you will ever make! Join us this Sunday afternoon for a short class where you’ll learn what you are professing through Water Baptism. Then, we’ll all get together to celebrate with you as you are baptized during our Night of Worship that evening.

WILDFIRE RELIEF

There are still major needs from this devastating disaster right here in our back yard. Let’s be the hands and feet of Jesus to those who are affected by the Bastrop fires. From taking your family to help organize supplies to adopting a family with your Connect Group, there are so many opportunities! Go to www.onechapel.com and click on Wildfire Relief for all the details.

RUN FOR THE ONE

It’s a family event on Saturday, January 28th! The staff, ONEchapel College and Mountain Gateway all invite you to go the distance with us; 5K, 10K, or a Half-marathon. Whether you’re running, manning a station or just cheering everybody on, we’d love to have you join us! Training schedule will be available online soon. Let’s run!

There is nothing like this adventure we’re having together with Jesus!

Be the light!

Ross
