Summer Greetings ONEchapel Family and Friends,
What a great time to be part of ONEchapel! Last week, our “Kids for the ONE” team and an army of volunteers pulled off our first Summer Day Camp at the Ben Garza campus! It was a phenomenal three-day event with over 100 kids attending (check out the video above). Remember, in the midst of all the family vacations and summer outings, we have a bunch of great gatherings going on around ONEchapel! In fact, last Sunday night at our 5:30pm service we had pizza and pie afterwards and simply enjoyed some conversation and connection. Just a hint…you never know what is going to happen at the 5:30pm service.
SWITCH OVER TO 5:30PM
Speaking of the 5:30pm service, we would love it if some of you from the 11:30am service would be willing to make the 5:30pm service your home. If 50-75 of you would be willing switch over, it would open up needed space for new guests at the 11:30am service. Get a group of your friends to attend together and meet a whole new crew of people who are part of the ONEchapel family. The 5:30pm service is a great opportunity to go to church after a day of recreation or coming home from a big weekend. It will be especially fun all summer long!
CONNECT GROUPS
As the summer is heating up, so are our Connect Groups! We’ve got about 30 groups of all kinds meeting for this summer session. Open the attachment for all the Summer Session Groups or check out www.onechapel.com. Last week we had two women’s groups overflowing with almost thirty ladies at each group. This means we’re going to need more Connect Groups this fall. Our next CONNECT GROUP LEADER TRAINING will be Saturday, August 18th from 9am-1:30pm. Lunch is included and you’ll get some great coaching and encouragement.

It’s going to be a boot-skootin’ good time! Join us in the dance hall where you can mosey on up to the service counter and order your chicken fry. Dance lessons begin at 8pm. Cover is $7 with an additional $8 for lessons. If you don’t dance, come anyway and enjoy the conversation, food and fun!”

Summer is a great time to create memories! We’re going to do that together with an outdoor movie night. Bring your lawn chairs, some friends, your family and even your dog and join us for popcorn and an outside movie at our Monterey Oaks campus! Come early for a great seat. The movie will start at dusk.

MEN’S RETREAT

Join us for a two-day retreat with all the men of ONEchapel. We’re going to worship, fish, play and eat together at the incredible Camp Buckner. Put it on the calendar and save up some money to be encouraged, challenged and to meet some new friends—only $96 for two nights and 5 meals. Some scholarships will be available. It’s going to be a great event!
There are many new people who are becoming part of ONEchapel. Take a moment to meet one another on Sundays. Have fun and make each other feel comfortable at Connect Groups. Invite someone out to lunch or have them over for dinner. Let’s make this a community of authentic relationships preparing the way for God’s kingdom to grow inside of everyone.
