We will cover several guidelines for interpretation and application to everyday life. This study will show how the Bible comes to life in a meaningful and powerful way. We will enjoy snacks, prayer and building relationships as we learn to study and listen to God speaking through the Bible!

Salt and Light

This group will focus on how to live our lives as Christians in public. We will talk about how to go out “into the world” and still not compromise. Clubs and bars in Austin are full of lonely people looking for something- anything- to fill a void in their lives, but most Christians are afraid to go there. Only a pinch of salt is needed to drastically change the flavor of a meal. Too much salt and it is overpowering. We will learn how to live as pinches of salt in a dark and needy world - just walking into dark places is often enough to bring the seeds of change. Only a little light can brighten up a dark room. Our group will be made up of those that walk outside the doors of the church and live life, new and old believers and hopefully some who are simply curious about what we believe.
