
ADRN is minimally looking for 100 volunteers this Saturday (10/8), from 8:30AM-2:30PM, to help clean, sift and sort debris for uninsured families, whose homes were destroyed in Bastrop. To date, ADRN’s volunteers have cleaned up close to 30 homes with an additional 170 families requesting for assistance.
Meeting Location: In order to receive a clean-up assignment, you will need to register/sign-up to a specific location by clicking here. Volunteers must show up by 8:30AM at their assigned site to receive specific clean-up and site safety instructions, sign volunteer waiver docs and meet the team. Attending this 8:30AM volunteer debriefing meeting is required in order to work on-site as a volunteer.
What To Wear: Workboots, Long sleeve shirt (light weight), Jeans, Leather gloves (no cloth gloves), Hat and Sunscreen.
What To Bring: Lunch and snacks, Water, Hand sanitizer, N-95 (or better) breathing mask (if you have one), a few rags (to be thrown away when done).
Special Needs (if you have, please bring): We need minimally three wheelbarrows per clean-up site along with snow or flat shovels, hard metal rakes, outdoor push broom, sledge hammer (for certain situations), and wire cutters (for certain situations).
